Hanoi and Singapore, 27 September 2005 - Singapore Technologies Telemedia (ST Telemedia), a leading information-communications company, today announced the official opening of its Vietnam Representative Office at a ceremony in Hanoi that evening. The Ceremony will be attended by Minister Do Trung Ta of the Ministry of Posts & Telematics, and Dr. Balaji Sadasivan, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, and Health, Singapore, senior Vietnamese and Singapore dignitaries, and invited guests from the Vietnamese business community.

ST Telemedia’s Vietnam Representative Office is led by Dr. Kaizad B Heerjee, ST Telemedia’s Senior Vice President for International Operations. Prior to his appointment with ST Telemedia, Dr. Heerjee was Senior Vice President of Business Markets at StarHub. Under his leadership, StarHub’s fixed and mobile business grew significantly and increased its market share in Singapore. Before he joined StarHub, Dr. Heerjee was Assistant Chief Executive at the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore.
