Jun 2010 / E-Newsletters

Soon after the completion of the eircom acquisition, ST Telemedia has wasted no time in reaching out to various stakeholders of the company. Besides working closely with eircom’s management and employees in the business transformation of the company, ST Telemedia has also been engaging the Irish telecommunications ministry and regulator to foster greater collaboration for Ireland’s telecommunications development.

ST Telemedia hosted Ireland’s Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Mr Eamon Ryan, during his official visit to Singapore in March. Accompanied by Ireland’s Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Dr Richard O’Brien and senior officials, Minister Eamon Ryan was received by ST Telemedia’s President & CEO, Mr Lee Theng Kiat, and his senior management team at ST Telemedia’s office. Both parties discussed telecommunications trends and issues in Ireland and around the world.

In May, ST Telemedia hosted Mr Alex Chisholm, Chairperson of Ireland’s Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg), during his industry visit to Singapore. Together with two other Comreg officials, Mr Donal Leavy, Director of Wholesale Division, and Mr Eamon Kelly, Deputy Director of Wholesale Division, Mr Chisholm visited ST Telemedia’s office and Nucleus Connect, StarHub’s wholly-owned subsidiary, to gain deeper insights into ST Telemedia’s Singapore operations.
