STT Strengthens Connections with Underprivileged Children and Seniors through Eco-Education and River Wonders Outing |
|
|
In September, 26 STT and Ollion employee volunteers brought 63 children from Canossaville Children and Community Services and Life Community Services Society on an interactive eco-farm learning journey to learn more about sustainable farming. With a total of 100 participants including the social service agencies’ employees, the event marked the largest employee volunteerism that STT has organised. Earlier this month, STT also brought 14 seniors from Yong-en Care Centre to River Wonders at Mandai. The activity enabled reserved seniors, who are often at risk of social isolation and loneliness, to come out of their homes and foster connections with the wider community to encourage healthy living. Many of them are also unable to walk long distances and seldom go for outings, making this experience especially meaningful.
