Johnny Ong is Chief Financial Officer & Senior Executive Vice President of ST Telemedia. He oversees all aspects of the Company's financial strategies and operations, including accounting & financial reporting, taxation, corporate finance & treasury, internal controls, budgeting & planning, due diligence and evaluation of M&A transactions.
Before joining ST Telemedia, Johnny was Regional Chief Financial Officer of Dell and responsible for the Asia Pacific & Japan regional P&L with annual revenue exceeding US$13.5billion. His 18 years’ experience in Dell spanned from procurement to supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, sales & marketing, services and after-sales customer support.
He was formerly the Financial Controller for Intel Malaysian operations, which contributed 55% of the worldwide assembly and test production volume during the early to mid-1990s. He started his career in the late 1980s through articleship with Price Waterhouse for Certified Public Accountant qualification.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom. Johnny also holds an MBA (with high honours) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
